The rituals that keep our remote team in sync

We are a fully distributed team spread across eight time zones. Staying aligned without endless meetings takes intention. Over time we have settled on a handful of rituals that do most of the heavy lifting.
Write things down
Our default is asynchronous and written. Decisions, proposals, and updates live in documents anyone can read on their own schedule. Meetings are for discussion, not status.
A weekly demo
Once a week we share what we shipped. It keeps momentum visible, celebrates progress, and gives everyone a sense of the whole product, not just their corner of it.
Overlap with purpose
We protect a few hours of shared overlap for the conversations that are genuinely better live. Outside that window, no one is expected to be online.
These rituals are simple, but together they keep a distributed team feeling like a team.
